Camping

Ok, kiddos, its official, we are going camping this summer! We all need to pick a date and then plan around it. We also need to pick where to go. May I suggest Ludington State Park. We should probably make reservations as soon as possible because if we were to go here, since its really popular it fill up like, half a year in advance or so. We could probably still get in since we would most likely be using tents and a lot of people take their campers there, so there might be tent sites open. Um, but yeah, everyone throw some dates out there and we will see what happens. Tom, no whining about sleep and obligations and work, you will be out of school and you need to do something before you go off to college. Plan to plan around this if we decide to go. I plan on getting off work for it.

After June 12th.

Kenric, the majority of Americans don't get enough sleep. You should get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. Some times, I don't get that even on weekends. I don't get that on weekdays either. I don't think I will have any obligations. But somewhere in the summer my family will go on a canoeing trip and I don't know if the youth group is going to Cedar Point again, but if they are, I will most likely go.

Depending on how many people my brother Mike gets for work this summer, I might not be able have days off. But however, I didn't ask if I can work for him yet anyway so I have no idea.

Kenric, I would be all for camping (though I have never been, gasp!). Also, judging by your breif description of Ludington State Park, paired with my knoweledge of camp sites, I second the suggestion of Ludington State Park. As long as you can keep it from happening during WYD, I'm in.

By the way, is anyone else having terrible luck with Bloggers comment service? Not that you could answer me if you were, but I've tried all I day and I also haven't been able to post to my blog either.

Yeah, Ben, its been acting retarded. Ok, thanks Tom for the date.

Well, you see Kenric, I don't know when the canoeing will be. You said to throw some dates out and I said "after June 12th." We probably won't know when the canoeing will until a week ahead of time, since people have to come from all over the place like Ludington.

well, i was going to say ---- hey sounds like fun when are "we" going, but looks like William Bong already beat me to it. This is the first time in a long time that i've been able to leave my comment. It kind of annoyed me because all i could do would be to read a blog, and not do what i do best,................comment!!!

due to blogger's inability to function i was unable to remove the previous. It was just a joke in case people are taking me litterally which I rarely intend to be taken as (seeing how i almost everything i see has no point) and i have no intention on going. Thank you for your time.

Tom, did you not read my post in which i chided you regarding these things. We should plan this as soon as possible. If we go to Ludington, we have to make reservations. If we make reservations, that means that we will go on a specific date, therefore, there might be a chance that something could come up that could conflict with camping. This happens. It doesn't mean we shouldn't go. You dont have to go if you dont want to. I dont know. I guess maybe you should talk to your parents/siblings to see when they were thinking of canoeing. Tom, you have to come though. It just wouldn't be the same without you.

Adam, i thoroughly enjoy your profile.

"It just wouldn't be the same without you."

That was so sentimental of you, Kenric.

Why do we have to go to Lundington? I love PJHolfmasters ( spelling?) and Muskegon state park. Actually I highly doubt that my parents ( i.e. my dad) will let me go, but it's worth a shot.

I asked my mom and she said we usually go on Father's Day, which is June 19th. So I think we should go sometime in July, but after the St. Marys picnic and before ours.

About the "it wouldn't be the same without you, Tom" I agree with you. Who has to be the annoying person if I am not there? By annoying, I mean, taking everything techinical, I guess.

Sarah, two things: have you been to Ludington State Park before, because i have been to both Hoffmaster and Muskegeon State Park and i have to say that Ludington is at least 8 times better than either. Really. If you were to go to Ludington, i guarantee that you will not be disappointed. Second thing, if you turn 18 before then, would that make it so that they couldn't decide for you, or would it be like at my house, where, since i still live here my parents still have some control over me?

Sarah said...

Yeah, uh, right Kenric, I love Muskegon state park, my cousins and I found plenty of fun stuff to do there. Never mind that we got into fights with random kids...anyway the day I turn eighteen I will do as I please, unfortunately that's not till October....rats.

Tom said...

What, rats? (Jumps on a chair, trying to get away from them)

No, seriously, we should go in July.

Ok so whats the general concensus (dont care if i spelled it wrong). when are we going? can the wohlferts go? who all should go? when are we going to decide for sure when to go? i too vote July just because i think it is the hottest month of the year and i dont really care when we go as long as its after about June 6 because thats when i get out of classes. what about Kyle Fedewa? someone(Ben) should talk to him about camping. what about jennifer? is there anyone else? i still vote Ludington. everyone post right now.

Tom said...

If the Wohlferts can't go, then we can't use their van, and if they do, well we can all go.

Ok people, i did a little research and checked the sites nice reservation date checker and I found that late July might be the best time to go. Since Ludington is so popular, there were no sites that would be open for 4 consecutive days (speaking of which, how long does everyone want to stay there). But, i did find a site that is open the 24 and 25, and then another site that is open 26, 27, and 28. This would mean that we would have to move when the 26 came around, which isn't a big deal (my family has had to do this before and we had a trailer). But yeah, let me know how long you want to go because i need to make reservations ASAP. Thanks

krustacianken said...

Also, is what are we staying in. Tom, do you have a tent. My parents have a tent and it will probably sleep 5 max. Does anyone else have a tent. We will need at least 2.

Tom said...

I believe we have a tent, and most likely if we do have one, it will hold around 5.

4 or more days would be fine by me.

krustacianken said...

Ok, I've officially made reservations for the 24-27 of July. This is Sunday through Wednesday (3 nights). This is going to be awesome. Jarud and John can go.

Tom said...

So this is with 2 tents as the reservation? I take it the 28th was already taken?
