Tom is correct. Did we actually argue that much about this there. I guess i forgot some things about the trip. I have verified the pronounciation with dictionary.com. They give you the pronounciation key and all.
We did argue about it, maybe not a lot. Or maybe it was started before Honduras. But there was a hammock there. But both sides were wrong weren't they? People either thought it was ham-mick or ham-mock.

Yeah it was all good, but expect the part where I was running in it. For 20 minutes straight, with no water and no break.
