Does anyone else think some words are just weird. Squash for example, it's a food named with a verb. Apple fritters, that's also a strange word. Try saying fritters, 10 times fast. Or apple "dumplings".
The spelling of some words too just bothers me. Box has always seemed to me like it should be spelled like "bocks".
Has anyone else come across words like this or is it just me?

And how Oranges are the only fruit to be named after its color. And any other fruit doesn't have that color as its name. And Orange doesn't have many words that rhyme with it, and also the color purple, what rhymes with that?
Yeah, like toast. For some reason that word has always seemed weird to me. Is it a verb or not? You know a toaster toasts toast. And nothing but a toaster toasts execpt a toaster oven. ( I just realized that we used to call Tom toast, so Tom I wasn't making fun of you....honest)

In fact Tom, not one word rhymes with orange.
What about Purple?
