A free birthday shall be awarded to the person who can correctly identify what would be considered courteous to a meter maid in the event that she was backing up to write you a ticket while you were going towards your car to put money in the meter. (sorry sarah, but you can't play)

Fine, the answer would be to admit you didn't put enough money in/forgot, and say you are sorry, and moved by your honesty, she decides to be nice to you.

pretty much. i went to put money in the meter before i talked to her...apparently, bad ettiquite. i was supposed to talk to her before putting money in teh meter...and just accept the ticket because she was doing her job.
yeah, she was grumpy at me.
oh and by the way, i got 3 tickets while at MTU.
